The pattern that works
Hardware and building material distribution has the same shape as electrical: a long SKU tail, buyers who search by exact product name, and orders that start as a list rather than a single item. A catalogue site with one page per product captures searches a brochure site never sees.
The quotation flow is the conversion point. A contractor sends a materials list; the system returns a structured quotation with availability. That interaction is what turns a search into an order.
What gets built
Searchable catalogue with category and brand filters, bulk-quantity quotation flow, WhatsApp ordering, delivery-radius and location pages, and an owner dashboard showing which products are being searched for that you do not stock — which is often the most valuable output.
