Answer

How much does a B2B website cost in India?

Real numbers, published, because "contact us for a quote" wastes everybody's afternoon.

The number

A production B2B website in India costs ₹2,00,000 to ₹3,50,000 in 2026. That range covers a searchable product catalogue, a quote engine, WhatsApp ordering and local SEO. Santosh Electricals, a Chennai electrical wholesaler, returned ₹4,00,000 in organic revenue within 10 days of launching a build in this range.

What changes the price

Catalogue size is the main driver — 200 products and 5,000 products are different builds, mostly in data preparation rather than development. After that: whether product data exists in structured form or only as PDFs, whether you need integration with existing accounting or inventory software, and whether the quotation logic has genuine complexity like slab pricing or customer-specific rates.

Design is rarely the cost. Data and logic are.

What ₹40,000 buys instead

A template brochure site: four or five pages, a contact form, and no catalogue. It is not a scam and for some businesses it is the correct purchase — if you sell three services to people who already know your name, buy the cheap site and spend the difference elsewhere.

It will not produce organic orders, because the mechanism that produces organic orders is one indexed page per product. A five-page site has five chances to be found. A catalogue site has thousands.

What ₹10,00,000 buys

A platform rather than a website — user accounts, roles, payments, GST invoicing, operational dashboards. That is a different purchase with a different justification. If your staff currently run the business out of WhatsApp groups and Excel, that is the tier to look at.

Common questions

Is ₹2,00,000 expensive for an Indian small business?
It is a serious cheque. The comparison that matters is what it returns: the Santosh Electricals build covered its cost in under two weeks of organic orders. If a build cannot make that argument with your numbers, do not buy it.
Are there ongoing costs?
Hosting and domain are typically ₹5,000–15,000 a year. An optional retainer for content, SEO and iteration runs ₹50,000–1,25,000 a month. The site works without the retainer; it compounds with it.
Do you take payment in stages?
40% on signature, 40% at staging handover, 20% on go-live. Work starts when the first payment clears.
